AHCS is 100% committed to helping with the National Hepatitis C Strategy and support the fight against hepatitis C.
The National Hepatitis C Strategy provides a foundation for national action that will guide Australia’s response to hepatitis C over the next three years (2205-2008).
Published by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing July 2005 Officially launched by the Minister for Health and Ageing, the Hon Tony Abbott on 1 July 2005. The key priority action areas of the new Strategy include: * Enhancing hepatitis C education and prevention efforts; * Assisting more people living with hepatitis C to access and stay on the very effective treatments now available; and * Improving national hepatitis C surveillance.
