The living well with HIV and Hepatitis C group program is developed and delivered by MOSAIC HIV and Hepatitis C Service and consists of 10 educational workshops, that focus on specific issues concerning individuals living with HIV or hepatitis C and their carers, family and friends. The group program’s overall aim is to promote a good sense of physical, mental health and wellbeing in order for individuals affected by HIV or hepatitis C to live a healthy and well balanced life. Often individuals diagnosed with HIV or Hepatitis C do experience a high level of isolation and marginalisation from the community, which impacts on their help seeking behaviours, health literacy, connectedness or effective management of their wellbeing. Having this in mind, the group program engages individuals in learning and exploring particular relevant issues, developing health literacy and adopting short or long term strategies in achieving positive mental health and wellbeing. The program is facilitated by experienced, professional counsellors/case managers who have worked extensively with individuals living with HIV and Hepatitis C. For more information or to register for this FREE workshop please contact MOSAIC HIV and Hepatitis C Service on 0882458100.
